Challenge day review

Challenge day is finally over!
Group A, B, C split up at the top of the hill, at adventure masters headquarters. Some of us had a few struggles to get up, but we all got up unscathed. We all headed out to our different activities, Rifle shooting, Zip line, River crossing and ATV riding. At rifle shooting we were shooting at little tin animals and teddies. River crossing was when we walked down a steep hill, that led us down to a river that we had to scramble our way down, by abseiling, butt sliding, and a lot of teamwork! The zip line was brand new, so new we were the first ones to use it! It was around 100 metres long and between 40 an 100 metres high. ATV riding was when a quad bike pulled us around on a sack (connected by a rope) in a field of cow poo. The day was decent-ish weather and we had fun.

CHALLENGE DAY OUT

The Big challenge day out is only five sleeps away. Money and permission slips still need to be coming in. A few more parent helpers would always be appreciated if possible. Here are a few things you will need to take into account before hand:
CLOTHES:
Wear old clothes! You will not come out of this day clean, so be prepared for mud and water. Have suitable footwear, and an old pair for swimming. Thermals, rainproof jackets, sunhats, beanies and other clothes for both weather extremities is highly recommended. Also bring Togs, a plastic bag and a towel for swimming. Bring a BIG packed lunch and drink, as well as any medication.
DROP OFF AND PICK UP:
Make sure that you are at school by 8:30 am, in time to leave at 8:40. We should be back at school between 4:30 and 5:00, but we could be earlier or later.
You should already have all this information on the noticed handed out on Thursday, but just in case it is all here.
Any further questions, please contact Mr Martin at school.
Thanks to the parent helpers that have already signed up, we look forward to seeing you there!

Term 3 review

After a busy term, it is nice to sit back and think of all the great things we have accomplished.
Our busy term started off with our 10 week project, mainly brainstorming and planning what we were going to do. In between that, we were training for cross-country, which we then completed in week 4. In between we were getting prepared for camp. In week 6 we headed out to berwick camp,in a bus full of excitement. Once arriving, everyone settled in before our tramp. In the evening we headed out to the lake. In groups, everyone headed out on a narrow track around the lake, in pitch black. Once arriving back at the camp, we headed out for another late night adventure. Operation overland was on a paddock, complete with waist high bogs and dead trees on the ground. We had 2 winners this year, Matt D, Flynn, Ethan and Liam McL. Day 2 was SUPER busy, with our activity day and assault course. Day 3 and 4 were low key, but still pretty full on. We completed the amazing race, search and rescue, confidence course and bivoac building. On our 5th and final day, we packed up, and rode back to school half asleep on the bus.
We then cracked into our cheese assembly. It was unfourtunately canclled, but we put on a mini version in the pac, with a few classes and items. This term has came to a fantastic finish with everyone handing in their work and preparing for our last term ever at balmac!

CAMP!

Hello followers!
We are slowly recovering from our crazy camp! We had heaps of fun, and some of us didn't want to leave (like me!). I promise to upload photos by next week. One of my favourite activities that we got heaps of photos of is the assault course. We got SO muddy and we all enjoyed it!
After camp we cracked into our(cheese)assembly. PLEASE, remember your yellow or white clothing!
Bye for now, Aoife and Jenna
